We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager to lead our high-performing Marketing team and champion the Museum’s vibrant brand across all channels. This role drives visitation and revenue growth through thoughtful, insight-led marketing that connects with Auckland’s diverse communities.
As a senior leader within the Audience Engagement directorate, you will oversee the development and delivery of integrated marketing plans, digital strategies, campaigns, and brand governance. You’ll collaborate widely across the Museum and with sector partners, ensuring our stories and experiences are communicated in compelling and culturally grounded ways.

We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience leading and developing a high‑performing team.
Senior-level experience within the GLAM sector, with a thorough understanding of GLAM/experience audiences.
Demonstrated experience working in a bicultural environment.
A working understanding of the application of tikanga and a high degree of cultural competency.
Superior interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating a complex and diverse organisation.
The ability to set goals and strategies for effective digital marketing campaigns, with strong capability in analytics-based decision-making.
You will be an inspiring people leader, a strategic thinker, and a collaborator who thrives on creativity, innovation, and community connection.
