Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the role

This role is responsible for:

  • Managing the end-to-end sales and coordination of weddings, and overseeing the coordination of other commercial events to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional client experiences
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal Museum teams
  • Managing all event logistics, documentation, and on-the-day execution with precision and care
  • Hosting site visits and meetings to guide clients through the planning process
  • Ensuring all events comply with health, safety, cultural and collection care protocols
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of internal Museum events as required
  • Upholding exceptional standards in presentation, client service, and communication throughout every stage of event delivery

Desired Skills and Experience

Ō pūmanawa | What you will bring

  • At least 3 years' experience in event or venue coordination (wedding experience a bonus)
  • Strong commercial and customer service focus
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Confidence managing multiple events and tight timelines
  • A proactive, self-starting approach
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (as required)
