Job Description
Mō te tūranga | About the role
This role is responsible for:
Managing the end-to-end sales and coordination of weddings, and overseeing the coordination of other commercial events to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional client experiences
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal Museum teams
Managing all event logistics, documentation, and on-the-day execution with precision and care
Hosting site visits and meetings to guide clients through the planning process
Ensuring all events comply with health, safety, cultural and collection care protocols
Supporting the planning and delivery of internal Museum events as required
Upholding exceptional standards in presentation, client service, and communication throughout every stage of event delivery
Desired Skills and Experience
Ō pūmanawa | What you will bring
At least 3 years' experience in event or venue coordination (wedding experience a bonus)
Strong commercial and customer service focus
Excellent communication and planning skills
Confidence managing multiple events and tight timelines
A proactive, self-starting approach
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (as required)
